Message Notes: Sunday, January 9, 2004“God and Your Time� Time is a gift for everyone: LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered, and that my life is fleeing away. (Psalm 39:4) Time is a season: a spiritual movement with a spiritual purpose: God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11) “At last the time has come!" he announced. "The Kingdom of God is near! Turn from your sins and believe this Good News!� (Mark 1:15) For God says, "At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you." Indeed, God is ready to help you right now. Today is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2) Time is opportunity: Teach us to make the most of our time, so that we may grow in wisdom. (Psalm 90:12) Live wisely among those who are not Christians, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and effective so that you will have the right answer for everyone. (Colossians 4:5-6) Use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy in the time of evil, so that after the battle you will still be standing firm. (Ephesians 6:13)
