Connect to God and Others in Joyful Worship
Sunday Morning Worship:
Our Goal in Worship: The Discipleship Prayer
The primary goal of worship at New Summit is to provide opportunities for people to experience God's presence in a personal and life-changing way, and for believers to express and deepen their faith, hope and love in our God. This is a goal that we recognize as one that cannot be achieved by human means, but only by God's own hand. It is through prayer that we seek God's guidance in every aspect of our worship. It is by God's power unleashed through prayer that He does far more than we could ever do in our worship! It is because of God that our lives can be changed and ever renewed through Him when we are willing to give our lives back to Him! (Romans 12:1-2)
Our Commitment in Worship:
We are committed to leading worship with excellence in a biblical, relevant, and creative way. We want to give our best for the Lord and therefore will utilize a variety of elements to glorify God, explain what we believe, and to deepen our faith. We are committed to reaching people with music that speaks to our generation and will lead people to Jesus Christ. We are willing to venture into many different styles of worship musically for the glory of the Lord. We desire to use drama and multimedia to engage us in looking at life through a different lens. We celebrate the arts and try to incorporate their use and the gifts of our artists in residence and in the community.

A Great Understanding Of Worship Can Be Found In the book of John:
Jesus said in John 4:23-24, "yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." We believe it's our call to worship the Lord all the days of our lives from the depths of our souls. Like a lover that never grows old, our passion and love for Him should continue to burn strong and be outwardly bold. For where there is no worship, there is no witness. If we truly love God, our lives should shine like the stars in the universe as we hold out His Words of life(Philippians 2:16) and the become the fragrant aroma of Christ to seeker and believer (2 Corinthians 2:14-15).
A Prayer of Mother Teresa (1910-1997):
Dear Jesus,
Help us to spread Your fragrance everywhere we go. Flood our souls with Your Spirit and Life! Penetrate and possess our whole being so utterly that our lives may only be a radiance of Yours... Let us thus praise You in the way You love best by shining on those around us. Let us preach You without preaching not by words, but by our example, by the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what we do, the evident fullness of the love our hearts bear to You. Amen.
