Hope House Holiday Store - Opportunity to Serve!
Hope House created The Holiday Store so that none of the women and children will have to go through Christmas without a present. The Holiday Store is a place where the kids and moms can “shop” for presents for each other. The shopping is free to them because all of the gifts are donated by the community. If you’d like to donate new, unwrapped gift items, donations are accepted at both Hope House locations (Lee’s Summit and Independence) from 9AM to 5PM Monday through Friday (drop off by Dec. 23) or you may contact Paige Smith at 816-679-0452 to schedule a pick up or you can bring your gift to church by Dec. 18 and place on the Hope House shelf. The kids can get items like pajamas, bath products and jewelry for their moms. Moms can get items like CDs, Barbies and skateboards for their kids. And they know that someone in their community who they’ve never met cares about them. Please visit www.hopehouse.net for gift suggestions.
Also there is an opportunity to give your time at the Holiday Store as a volunteer. No experience necessary, just come and serve! Rooms are set up with gifts of all kinds, for all ages. Volunteers may be asked to re-stock the shelves with in coming gifts or assist the women and children with their shopping. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Paige Smith for the specific dates and time slots available.
